Halfway through September we started working on our first game as Dr. Feelgood. We knew
we wanted something for the iPhone and after a few brainstorms we came up with a concept
in which we could try out all the things we were curious about. So we proudly present you:

Lorelei; female first name from Teutonic origin, meaning Legendary Siren.
Our first game will be a deep sea adventure about a little girl, called Lorelei, trying to reach
the deepest part of our oceans. The story starts when she and her parents arrive at a seaside
bungalow park. When on the first night a shower of strange objects plummets from the sky
and into the sea, Lorelei runs to the shore only to find a mysterious being waiting for her.
Together they will dive to the depths of the sea to unravel the secrets of the mysterious
objects.
This post is the first in a series of posts leading up to the launch, hopefully somewhere spring
2010. Besides gradually revealing more about the story and the game itself we will also be
blogging about our experiences developing for the iPhone. Sometimes one of the programmers
will be writing about technical issues that will occur or how to implement gameplay elements
within Cocos2D, the open source framework in which we are building Lorelei. Other times you
can expect posts about how we design our game, both graphical as well as gameplay.
We hope you will come by every once in a while to see what treausers we’ll find on the bottom
of our oceans! We are going to implement a RSS feature for those who want to follow us in their
readers, until then; don’t forget the good old doctor!
